First module for DEEP-EST has been installed

As part of the DEEP-EST project, the first module was installed this week in Jülich. Two more will follow by the end of this year. In addition to the “Cluster Module” with 50 SlideSX-LC nodes, MEGWARE will also supply the modules "Extreme Scale Booster (ESB)" and "Data Analytics Module (DAM)".
The european research project „DEEP-Extreme Scale Technologies“ (DEEP-EST), launched on July1, 2017, aims to create a modular supercomputer that is able to efficiently run both HPC codes as well as data analytics workloads. The project is coordinated by Jülich Supercomputing Centre and besides MEGWARE, it has 15 partners from industry and research.
